Despite the title above, I have to say I just had a few excellent slices of the stuff earlier this evening at a place called Bar Stuzzichini. But in general, I find the fat often ends up getting stuck between my teeth—a rather unpleasant experience if I don’t have a toothpick handy. And I guess I’ve never found the flavor that overwhelming that it compensates for this annoyance. This probably doesn’t make me a great “foodie,” but I suppose I can deal with being a heathen.
It’s popular in the Midwest and you mix it with Velveeta. It’s not high-class.
